Cefn Coed RFC 12 pts v Gwernyfed RFC 6pts
The home side began their first league game of the season on the Vaynor School Field. In a very hard fought encounter the Wolves ran out winners by two  tries and a conversion to two penalty goals. Trailing by 6 pts at half time Cefn began the second half in fine style  with Gareth Williams going over wide out for Luke Williams to convert. The home side added another unconverted try when Craig Rees scored after a fine drive by the Cefn eight to increase the lead by 12 pts to 6pts. The visitors finished the game strongly but superb defence by Cefn prevented them returning to Mid Wales with the spoils.
