The young wolfcubs travelled to Abercarn for their 1st ever game for cefn on Sunday. In the warm ups before the game they were full of excitement and energy on what started off to be a lovely dry morning. The 1st game to kick off was Abercarn v Risca with the young excited cubs on the side line checking out the opposition!! 
Next up was cefn coed v Abercarn, with the anxious parent's and coaches watching and wondering what to expect the young cubs soon found their feet with some excellent passing and running with the ball and went try for try with a very well organised Abercarn side. We were very unlucky to lose by 9 tries to 8 .

Next up was cefn v Risca

The young excited cubs went into this game full of beans and raring to go, they showed fabulous team work and again went try for try with a great Risca team with some lovely running and tagging and with a late try cefn were unlucky to lose 12 tries to 11.

Third and final game was again Abercarn v cefn

Due to Abercarn having a large young squad cefn were able to play them once again in what turned out to be a wet & windy end to brilliant morning of rugby. Again they played they socks off in bad conditions were unlucky to miss out on a win by 9 tries to 8

This young cefn team has only been training for about 5 weeks and showed great team work and skills and above all had loads of fun😂

Massive thanks to the coaches for all the hard work they put in and to the proud parents that made the journey on Sunday.
