Under 10s 05.11.2017 Merthyr under 10s 5 Cefn Coed under 10s 5 Playing for the first time on Merthyr's state of the art 4G pitch the cubs were very much up for this encounter with our local rivals. Played in a good spirit the game was very tight with Cefn getting the better of the first period scoring one unanswered try. Defensively the boys put in a massive shift and looked every bit the side we know they can be, arguably providing their best defensive display to date. Merthyr, it has to be said had some very quick backs who managed to equal the scores midway through the second half with a very well worked try. Both sides failed to capitalise on some good chances in the second half but overall a draw was probably a fair result. The thing that impressed the coaches the most was the 100% effort that was put in by ALL players from the first to the final whistle… well done boys!! Try scorers - Rhett (1)
